You know that old saying that says…. “If life brings you lemons, make lemonade”? My buddy, Steve “Wheels” Bucaro has been making lemonade for a few years now! I met Wheels either at the Meguiar’s Award or a SEMA event several years ago. He has been a buddy to Theresa and I ever since. Steve was fondly named “Wheels” because he motivates around in a wheelchair while pursuing his love of customizing cars and trucks. You see Steve had a motorcycle wreck a few years ago which paralyzed him from his chest down, but those “lemons” didn’t stop the new “Wheels” as he continues to pursue his love and passion of building custom trucks and cars from his new “wheels”! (only problem I see is that they need redlines or wide whitewalls on his “wheels”!)

Wheels came back East from his SoCal home to be a part of the Year One Experience and stopped by to see us at Coker and Honest here in Chattanooga. My kids, Cameron and Casey spent some time with Wheels too. He is an inspiration because of his drive and enthusiasm for our Industry. You can check out Wheels’ website at http://www.checkmeoutcustoms.com He has done some pretty cool trucks! Wheels drives his truck with a clamp on apparatus for the pedals so is definitely not limited as he motors around anywhere. He tells me he recently delivered a car in 3 days from SoCal to Florida. He would make a great spokesman for someone in the automotive aftermarket by driving the car show circuit! Check him out! Help him make lemonade!
