It looks like folks say the Inaugural Coker Tire Challenge was a huge success! This past weekend (November 9-12) rally enthusiasts in collector cars and hot rods converged on Chattanooga and the surrounding area for a great time with great people doing what we love best…driving our cars! Car guys came from as far away as Oregon, California, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, New Mexico, New York, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. The 40 entries rallied more than 575 miles of the back roads of East Tennessee, and North Georgia during the peak of the fall colors. Billy Cothern (GA) and John Williamson (TN) edged out Brian Gomez and Uli Kammholz for the overall win and the first prize check for $2590.00.

The National Street Rod Association is a 56,000+ member organization headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee that focuses on hot rods n street rods and the celebration and use of same. The NSRA holds quite a number of events around the country that gather owners of street rods and companies who provide product and services to those owners. The largest and best known of the events the NSRA puts on is the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. As many as 5000 street rods cruise in to Lewavull during the summer.
