Recently a bearded man who appeared somewhat portly dropped in at the Coker Tire headquarters in the historic Southside of downtown Chattanooga. The white headed and bearded man’s visit was certainly timely since there were over 190 Coker and Honest Charley employees and their families gathered to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus and eat a lot of food and enjoy fellowship.

The red suited, jovial guy was accompanied by a little green elf-like individual named Buddy who helped the fatman hand out a Mitchell touring car full of loot (which appeared to be wrapped up in colorful paper) to the kids and teenagers present. All the kids appeared to be having a good time as indicated by the laughter, giggles and big smiles.

It seemed that everyone was having a huge time so much so that it makes one wonder why we don’t celebrate Christmas more often during the year. Just a thought, but then I am just a tire guy.
