One of the most important places to be when mid August rolls around is the Monterey Bay area of California. Our company has been actively participating in the events around Pebble Beach some time, especially the adrenaline filled action at Laguna Seca. The Steve Earle family and their company, General Racing Ltd with the help of their friends at SCRAMP (racing group acronym) have done a wonderful job at producing the Monterey Historics for some long time. This year the Monterey Historics celebrated Indy Roadsters. There were so many Offy powered 4 wheeled powerhouses it was actually difficult to count them all. (more…)

Coker Gives Fatty A New Pair Of Shoes

CHATTANOOGA, TENN. (August 2007) – Originally custom made for silent movie star Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, the 1919 Pierce-Arrow Model 66A-4 Don Lee Touring attracted major attention by the crowd at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance. In addition to the vibrant paint and superb interior, the Coker produced all-white Goodrich Silvertown tires made the famous car visible from miles away. By the end of the weekend, the current owner of Arbuckle’s Pierce-Arrow, James Schenck of Wisconsin, was rewarded with first place in the Class B (Vintage 1916-1924) category. (more…)
