In the hustle and bustle of the waning summer days, we’ve been busy developing new products, marketing the one’s we have and working on the upcoming events. We’ve also been planning a wedding! Casey Coker and Greg Cunningham are engaged to be married next month and the excitement and anticipation is way up there. Both are near and dear to all of us here at Coker Tire Company and we couldn’t be happier for the couple. Since the flury of wedding happenings and obligations could easily pass us by, we wanted to spend some time celebrating Casey and Greg’s marriage with just the Coker Tire Company Family. In true company style, we had a nice laid back reception for them with food and drinks. We’re excited for them and glad to be able to spend this time with them before the hurricane of wedding events takes over. Congratulations Casey and Greg! (more…)

Hot rodders and Hamb’ers Bob and Maggie Klessig gave us a visit. The Wisconsin couple is pounding the pavement  in their ‘52 Chevy convertible all across the United States and we’re sure glad they included us as one of their stops. Last I saw him, Bob had a twinkle in his eye in the Honest Charley Speed Shop showroom. Somebody might have to come get him if he doesn’t show up to work soon! read on for more images: (more…)

Volkswagen Chattanooga Group

Volkswagen Chattanooga Group

We’d like to say it was an honor, but it was more a blast having Volkswagen Group representatives in Chattanooga visiting Coker Tire Headquarters. The guys toured the facilities and got sneak peek rides in the Nyberg Speedster courtesy of “Hot Rod” Andrew Givens. These guys are impacting our community in a big way and thanking them comes easy to us from car guys to car guys.

The beautiful Linda Vaughn poses with the guys in Honest Charley Garage on her visit Monday, always a pleasure! The Nyberg Speedster is almost finished (so the guys managed to barely free up to camera time).

The Scenic City Model A’s of Chattanooga sponsored a Hill Climb on Saturday August 8, 2009. The event was free and members that attend were invited to drive their old cars. The Hill was on Sixth Street in downtown Chattanooga next to the Justice Center. Downtown streets were closed and cars that were on display parked there.A few of the old cars needed some wrenches turned for the event and found themselves in Honest Charley Garage on Friday. We enjoyed having the guys around and love events like this what they mean to old cars and old car lovers. (more…)
